WRITER, RESEARCHER, & ADVOCATE

Go Without Grace was originally meant to be an anonymous outlet, a “burn blog” for all the things the creator wanted to say about the abuse in her relationship, but feared saying for a host of reasons.

For guidance and help, she reached out to a military chaplain, to Military One Source, to Military Family Life Counseling, and to Family Advocacy Program – no one helped her.

When 911 was called to her house after a domestic attack while she was packing her bags and car to leave, the police decided to chose her as the aggressor based solely on her active duty Army husband’s account.

Where she had planned to leave the marriage quietly, the arrest outed what was happening in the home, and it put her in a position to seek justice and truth for herself.

She realized how difficult it was to advocate for herself and just how unhelpful and unfriendly the entire process was. It was frankly destructive and crippling. Finding only walls placed in front of her, she struggled to remove the hate and bitterness that was beginning to build in her heart and soul.

So now, Go Without Grace, likes its creator, iexists to advocate, inform, fight for better practices, share stories, and encourage others struggling to overcome the hate and bitterness to find calm and be a part of positive solutions.
